Share
Ensuring the perfect fit for your child's digital performance lenses is essential for comfort and optimal vision. Here's how to choose the right size:
Please note indicated ages are intended as a guide only, sizing will vary from child to child, if you're not sure it's best to measure.
1. Lens Width (mm)
- The horizontal measurement of each lens.
- Junior (38-40mm): Ideal for younger kids, typically ages 2-4.
- Petite (40-42mm): Ideal for younger kids, typically ages 4-6.
- Standard (42-46mm): Typically suitable for kids ages 6-10.
- Extra Large (46mm): Typically suitable for older kids, ages 10+ or those with wider faces.
2. Bridge Width (mm)
- The distance between the lenses.
- Standard (17-19mm): Fits most children comfortably.
3. Temple Length (mm)
- The length of the arms of the glasses.
- 120-130mm: Ideal for toddlers and young children.
- 130-140mm: Suitable for most older kids and preteens.
Tips for the Perfect Fit:
- Proper Coverage: The lenses should cover your child's field of vision without extending past the cheekbones or eyebrows.
- Snug Fit: The glasses should sit comfortably on the nose and ears without slipping or leaving marks.
- Room to Grow: Consider a slightly larger size if your child is in between sizes, to allow for growth.
